Substitute Nurse

Location: Delmar Middle & Senior High School 200 N. Eighth Street Delmar, DE 19940

Qualifications: Valid state license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Delaware. Certification requirements as established by the State Board of Education. Satisfactory Child Protection Registry. Must be 21 years of age. Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation. Cooperative attitude. Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively. The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment. Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee. The State of Delaware requires new employees to be paid by direct deposit and to be part of a lag payroll system as conditions of employment. Additional qualifications and/or alternatives as deemed necessary by the Board of Education and Administration.

Salary: As per State guidelines: $26.25 per hour.

Anticipated Date of Employment: As needed throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
