Location: Yuba-Sutter Area, CA
Pay Rate: $18.00–$21.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Shift: Day Shift
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

Express Employment Professionals in Yuba City is partnering with a reputable local company in the Yuba-Sutter area to hire a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations.

This position is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying materials, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You'll work closely with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure orders are processed accurately and shipments are completed on schedule.

The ideal candidate has previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and excellent attention to detail. We're looking for someone dependable, comfortable handling paperwork and physical warehouse duties, and capable of managing multiple priorities throughout the workday.

Compensation & Position Highlights:

• $18.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

• Full-time, day-shift opportunity

Primary Job Duties:

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.

• Receive, inspect, and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips.

• Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.

• Schedule and coordinate freight pickups and deliveries.

• Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading (BOLs), and other freight paperwork.

• Communicate with freight carriers and delivery services.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.

• Identify and report shipping discrepancies, damaged materials, and inventory issues.

• Organize and properly store warehouse materials and products.

• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and customer service departments.

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.

• Familiarity with shipping documents, packing slips, and bills of lading.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping documentation.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily responsibilities.

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

• Forklift experience preferred.

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

• Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment.

• Ability to safely work around forklifts, warehouse equipment, and moving materials.
