Registered NurseThe medical oncology unit consists of patients with a cancer diagnosis, medical step-down patients, and general medical overflow. This position requires basic knowledge of the pathophysiology of cancer. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients on this unit. Regular assessments of patients' needs and providing skilled nursing services as prescribed are essential. Direct patient care includes nursing assessment, medication administration, treatments, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. Evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and patients' conditions to suggest updates or revisions in collaboration with team members is required. Processing physician orders and performing ordered care accurately and in a timely manner is necessary.
