Why does the job exist? The Human Resource Associate is there to support the needs of the HR team with various administrative and support tasks to keep operations moving efficiently throughout the department. The incumbent will work closely with the HR managers, the lead generalist, and senior generalists to accomplish these administrative tasks and provide support where needed. The incumbent will need to work collaboratively, be able to re-prioritize tasks as workload changes, and probably manage time to provide adequate support to the department. How does it get done? Prepare background check requests, request file reviews and conduct references. Assist with creating files for new employees. Monitor tracking sheets for missing data, positions needing to be posted, etc. Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and administrative tasks as needed. HR support to include: Scheduling interviews, Cornerstone/tracking required SPO/CYFD training for HR staff. Other personnel activities upon assignment by supervisor. Ideal Candidate Skilled in the following areas:Administrative duties; Office administration, customer service; Clerical and general office support; Multi-tasking in a busy workplace; Have good communication skills; Strong organizational skills; Time-Management; Associate degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required education. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office environment with regular exposure to visual/video display terminals and extensive use of computers and telecommunication devices. The position requires the ability to lift, load, and unload items up to 25 pounds. Attendance at job fairs and hiring events is required as needed.
