Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 24 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 16-week holiday coverage assignment. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. General Information Location: Asheville, NC Unit Name: Emergency Department Number of Beds: 101 Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on emergency department behavioral holds Documentation System: Cerner Unit Staffing: Includes techs working in cardiac monitoring, triage, and unit clerks available days and nights. Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an emergency room setting. Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center is preferred. Team-oriented mentality with the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback. Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department. Required Certifications ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) - to be completed by hire date NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) Work Schedule Must be willing to work every other weekend.
