Job Summary


Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include assisting with patient examinations, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the medical staff in delivering quality healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.).
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation into the EMR; performing patient interviews and histories, recording vital signs, treatments, and test results.
• Assists medical staff with patient examinations.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and sterilizes instruments necessary for registration.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient and organization information and follows federal and state regulations and organization policies regarding protection of patient information.
• Participates in development activities and maintains affiliations with medical assistant associations, as applicable.
• Commits to concepts of preventative health care programs and a team-based approach to health care delivery.
• Performs front office duties including reception, patient check-in/check-out, payment collection, and electronic scheduling.
• May perform routine screening tests and draw patient blood samples as directed.
• Prepares and administers ordered injectable medications and immunizations.
• Changes dressings, applies bandages, removes sutures, and performs other first aid procedures.
• Assists patients with the scheduling of internal/external referrals.
• Certain clients and health centers may require travel.

Qualifications

• MA experience, family practice preferred.
• Comfortable performing independent blood draws.

Skills

• Technical skills in EMR documentation and vital sign measurement.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Education

• MA diploma/certification preferred.

Schedule

• Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 7 AM - 4 PM
• Tuesday/Thursday: 9 AM - 6 PM
