Structural Project Engineer

Structural EngineerWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Renewables team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.Job Duties:Responsible for the structural design of foundations and retaining walls for utility scale wind, battery storage and solar facilities.Prepares or directs the structural design reports, specifications, and plans.Assist Project Managers in the drafting and design of utility scale solar projects.Day to day support and input to Project Managers.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.Registered Professional Engineer required, S.E. registration a plus.Minimum 3 years of related work experience required.Familiar with ASCE loading calculations.Background in foundation design, including shallow spread footings, slab-on-grade, and deep foundations.Sound verbal communication and technical writing skills.Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must.Proficient with structural engineering software, such as RISA, a plus.AutoCAD drafting experience is a plus.Geotechnical background is a plus.Solar or wind energy background is a plus.Minimal travel possible.At Westwood, our purpose is to create a better world for people through our work.
