What You Will Do Shadow experienced instrumentation technicians and gain hands‑on experience supporting equipment reliability, maintenance, and plant operations. Assist with the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of process instrumentation, analyzers, and control systems. Learn the permitting process and gain exposure to the day‑to‑day responsibilities of instrumentation technicians in an industrial environment. Develop the ability to interpret technical documents, including loop drawings, instrument documentation, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Support commissioning, startup, testing, and reliability initiatives while building practical skills in instrumentation and process control systems. Partner with technicians and engineers on projects and troubleshooting efforts that help maintain safe and reliable plant operations. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb straight ladders. Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet. Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required. Confined space entry may be required. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Currently enrolled in a relevant degree, certificate, or workforce training program in Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, Automation & Robotics, HVAC, Electrician, or similar program Eligible for full‑time employment before or by May 2028 Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship Willing and able to meet all physical requirements What Will Put You Ahead Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment, engines, rotating equipment, or maintenance systems Demonstrated involvement in engineering design teams, student organizations, or hands‑on mechanical projects At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
