Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac monitoring and acute care needs. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry to identify arrhythmias and other cardiac events.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate issues to the healthcare team.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and condition management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1-year recent acute care hospital telemetry experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong understanding of cardiac monitoring equipment and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Outgoing, proactive personality with a willingness to take initiative.
