5 Star Charleston is hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician (VRV/VRF Specialist) who is ready to work on high-end systems, solve complex problems, and deliver exceptional service to commercial clients.
What You'll Earn
- $35.00 - $50.00 per hour , based on experience
- Strong earning potential - top performers reach six figures

- Commission based on company profitability
Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Some weeknights and weekends for on-call rotation)
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, and repair VRV/VRF systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC issues quickly and accurately
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on DX equipment, pumps, cooling towers, boilers, and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and make repair vs. replace decisions
- Read wiring diagrams, perform air balancing, and ensure systems run efficiently
- Communicate clearly with clients, general contractors, and your team
- Rotate on-call duties for emergency service calls
What You Need
- Strong experience with VRV Daikin or VRF systems
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Solid troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Type II or Universal EPA Certification
- Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
- Willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
- Valid driver's license with insurable driving record
