Production Manager

Responsibilities Review and analyze the division business plan: establish a forward‑looking product development plan to achieve business targets from a starts, cycle time, and closing perspective; identify hurdles in advance and recommend solutions to senior division leadership. Manage all aspects of the product development process, including: Build strong relationships with municipal staff where Meritage operates to facilitate plan review and approval, and the building permit application submittal and issuance. Collaborate with internal operations team members and external consultants to set a product development timeline and communicate the same to all stakeholders on a weekly or more frequent basis. Work with 3rd‑party consultants, review architectural/structural/meps/energy plan documents, and submit design review/construction document approval applications. Maintain the Meritage Plan Library encompassing many product series and ensure it continues to adhere to Meritage's selling strategy and specifications. Future responsibilities may include: Utilize Hyphen Build‑Pro and Salesforce to directly manage job set‑up, scheduling, rescheduling, and monitor schedule adherence. Serve as Hyphen Build‑Pro administrator for the division, support all internal and external Build‑Pro users, and perform daily maintenance. Work with Meritage Homes construction managers and trade partners to maintain clear and accurate reporting in Hyphen Build‑Pro. Partner with the purchasing department and attend trade partner meetings to communicate upcoming business plan requirements and use construction metrics to improve partner performance. Lead and manage the Starts Coordinator as part of the production team. Assist with all production reports, forms, documents, tasks, and related requirements. Qualifications Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Clear understanding of homebuilding schedules. Knowledge of homebuilding and blueprints, building codes, and local city or county construction guidelines. 3+ years of homebuilding construction experience. Understanding of civil drawings and plot plans, and ability to audit such per Meritage Standards of Construction. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence others and manage conflicts positively. Strong leadership skills: ability to set priorities, define schedules, and meet deadlines in a high‑volume fast‑paced environment with frequently changing circumstances. Self starter: takes initiative, proactively addresses problems, works with minimal oversight. Strong proficiency with computer and enterprise applications such as Microsoft Office, SmartSheet, JD Edwards (or similar ERP platform); ability to learn other software quickly. High school diploma or GED required; a degree in construction management or higher preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
