Job Description: The Owens & Minor site in Morgantown, WV, is a 350,000-square-foot medical supply logistics and distribution hub, located just minutes from WVU Medicine's flagship campus. As a center of excellence, this facility integrates advanced robotics and order fulfillment technologies, blending human expertise and innovation to drive greater efficiency and flexibility for WVU Medicine. Facility Overview: Supports WVU Medicine and regional healthcare systems, including all 25 acute care hospitals within WVU Medicine. Operations focus on warehousing, custom surgical kitting, product distribution, and related logistics functions for hospitals and clinics. Not a patient-care site-primary focus is fulfillment and distribution of medical and surgical supplies (e.g., masks, gowns, crutches, surgical kits). Both 1st and 2nd shifts work collaboratively to ensure timely completion of orders, supporting front-line healthcare workers by providing essential medical products that save lives. Shifts: Mandatory overtime required for all shifts. OT schedules are determined each Friday for the following week. 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:00am 2:30pm (or until finished), plus mandatory Saturdays Can start as early as 4:00am during mandatory overtime 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 2:30pm 11:30pm (or until finished), plus mandatory Saturdays May stay as late as 1:00am during mandatory overtime Experience & Training: Equipment Experience Required: MHE & Stand-up Forklift (Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, or Stand-up Forklift preferred) Minimal experience needed - willing to train candidates who are open to learning new skills, comfortable with heights, and adaptable to various tasks. Note: Most MHE operators begin by picking and unloading trucks, not immediately driving equipment. Training is provided, and associates can rotate through different areas based on performance. Core Job Responsibilities: Operating material handler equipment (cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts-training provided) to pick, pack, and stock warehouse orders Assuring that shipping/receiving counts match picking/purchase order documents and resolving discrepancies Picking orders, ensuring correct labels/paperwork, staging pallets for shipping Daily routines include a 10-minute pre-shift meeting, unloading trucks, building pallets, and using RF scanners Shipping dock duties: printing labels/packing lists, manually stretch-wrapping pallets, loading trucks Use of manual pallet jacks, cherry pickers, forklifts (training provided) Cherry picker operation involves use of a safety harness at heights up to 32 feet Additional Information: Associates should expect to be rotated among different areas of the warehouse based on performance. If an employee feels uncomfortable with specific equipment, they should notify their trainer-alternative tasks and additional support can be provided. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the accurate stocking of product to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Product inspection to Device Master Record. Supports the Company Quality Policy, Mission Statement and ISO Quality System. Unloads material in a timely manner. Separates pallets by item and/or lot numbers. Verifies Product ID, lot numbers and quantities on QA Release vs. material received. Notifies Supervisor of any discrepancies. Stocks materials by item and/or lot number in designated bin locations. Stocks materials on FIFO basis. Enters transactions in SAP in a timely manner. Performs and records Operator's Daily checklist inspection and change equipment batteries as needed. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner? Notifies supervisor of any unsafe acts, equipment, or re-occurring error codes. Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Participates in physical inventory count. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs additional duties as directed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma, General Education Degree, or equivalent, required. Minimum, one (1) month of related experience and/or training, required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand.
