Policy Specialist, Policy Enablement and Delivery

Policy Enablement and Delivery (PED) team is a dedicated group within the Consumer product area that serves as both a partner in generative AI (GenAI) policy scaling and an execution arm. As a member of the Trust and Safety (T&S) team, you will manage the delivery and scaling of our generative AI policies. This is a priority for T&S leadership, and your work will impact user safety and platform integrity by supporting the final stages of policy implementation in partnership with enforcement teams. Your responsibilities will span the policy life-cycle, including initial launch, scaling, performance monitoring, feedback-driven iteration, and ongoing policy support for enforcement and escalations.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and manage GenAI Policy Standards, including maintaining specialized lists and guidelines to adapt to evolving technology.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, implement, and launch GenAI policies, standards, and products that promote user trust and uphold Google's core principles.
• Identify policy issues that may affect Google, understand their impact, manage policy escalations, and suggest improvements.
• Monitor and track policy performance against key metrics to ensure operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate and present effectively, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and across geographies.
