Hiring Salary: $4,182.12 - $5,416.67 Monthly THIS IS A GRANT‑FUNDED POSITION FUNDED UNTIL JUNE 30, 2028 Job Summary / Essential Job Functions Under the supervision of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), the Registered Nurse participates in clinical care related to a large Tennessee Department of Health grant. The purpose of the grant is to establish a Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Program that delivers innovative, evidence‑based healthcare services in Dyer, Hardeman, and Haywood counties. This position assists with the delivery of care at mobile clinic sites primarily including but not limited to: providing information, assisting patients, recording medical histories, assisting with SDoH assessments, and performing preliminary assessments and physical tests. This position drives the Mobile Health Unit, assuring daily operational logs are complete, maintaining medical supplies and inventory, and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. Responsibilities Drive the mobile health unit to the site of service, refuel as needed, and empty the gray water tank. Conduct patient health history assessment, obtain vitals, monitor patients for change in status, communicate findings to APRN, contribute to and implement care plans, and provide patient education. Perform finger sticks and draw blood for laboratory specimens according to protocol. Coordinate patient care, schedule patient appointments, triage patient phone calls, schedule referrals, and administer tests under clinician orders. Enter data into electronic medical record (EMR) system and assist with coding and billing. Assist patients with understanding treatment goals, identify any barriers to treatment, and seek to resolve barriers to care. Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections. Assist the research team with obtaining data for grant reporting. Communicate with APRN, family, caregivers, and other healthcare workers. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Education: Registered Nurse (R.N.) (Transcript required) Experience: One (1) year of related experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle insurance. License/Certification: Must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee. Maintain BLS CPR or CPR/AED certification. (Certification required) Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other staff. Strong leadership skills, self‑confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to rapidly identify and gather required information to assess and care for patients. Ability to think quickly and provide information with confidence and clarity. Perseverance and self‑management to achieve defined objectives. Knowledge of chronic medical conditions are the keys to success in this role.
