Step into a vital role supporting students’ growth for the 2026-2027 school year as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Warwick, RI. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference working with diverse caseloads in a collaborative school environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 17, 2027, providing stability and the chance to positively impact students’ communication skills across multiple academic years.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid or eligible RIDE PK-12 SLP Certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • At least one year of experience in a school-based role preferred
  • Experience with diverse student populations and IEP development
  • SLPAs/CFs are not considered for this position due to union supervision requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to a varied caseload of students in line with IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing
  • Collaborate actively with teachers and special education staff to support student success
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with best practices
