Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Walnut Creek, California. This role requires a highly experienced ER nurse with a strong background in emergency care and travel nursing. The selected candidate will work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule and provide critical patient management in a fast-paced environment with a high patient volume.

Job Details:

• Location: Walnut Creek, California
• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 5a-5p / 7a-7p / 9a-9p / 10a-10p / 11a-11p / 1p-1a; 36 hours per week minimum
• Required Qualifications: California state licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA) certifications, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), NIHSS, 2+ years of recent ER experience, EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system experience, valid travel experience, superior references, and ability to work at a 50-mile radius of the location.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), 3-5 years of ER experience, some trauma and pediatric experience.
• Additional Information: The Emergency Departments average daily census is 190-200 patients with rapid discharge turnover. The facility handles inpatient admissions and ambulance triage at the bedside. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking skills and nursing excellence, with a focus on patient experience and quality care.
