Technician III – Maple Grove, MN – Contract to Hire – $34.83/hr – 9/80 Schedule Seeking an experienced technician to work in its Pilot Production Line performing assembly and test of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies of electronic products and support equipment. Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and follow written and verbal work instructions. Be able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekends. Responsibilities include: Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non‑repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems. Assist team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, troubleshooting and problem solving, and transitioning new products into production. Required Skills Proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches. Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects. Must be able to demonstrate high degree of mechanical aptitude and J‑STD‑001 or have knowledge of these requirements. Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (e.g. scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data. Must demonstrate ability to read and use mechanical assembly and measurement tools such as micrometers and torque wrenches. Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies. Our client requires that candidates ability to obtain a DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL), for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Preferred Skills Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication and test improvements. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve assembly issues. Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience. Troubleshooting of electronic, electrical systems. Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 Class 3 and J‑STD‑001 or have knowledge of these requirements. Understanding of basic machining techniques. Basic understanding of GD&T.
