SQL Database Administrator

SQL DBA PositionLighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their SQL DBA position! This is an 18+ month contract with potential to convert and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY.This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.What You'll Be Doing:Lead data cleanup and remediation efforts for an enterprise-wide risk management database transformation initiativeBuild and implement robust database structures to support a new cloud-based risk management data productSupport the migration of on-premises SQL Server environments to Azure or Snowflake cloud platformsDesign and develop large-scale application data schemas optimized for reporting and analytics purposesExecute database engineering tasks including data transformation, structure optimization, and quality assuranceImplement slowly changing dimension methodologies to track trends and historical data changesPartner with architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical database solutionsWhat You'll Need to Have:Proven experience with large-scale database transformation and migration projectsStrong proficiency in SQL Server for data cleanup, transformation, and database developmentSolid understanding of data schema design and development for large applications and reporting systemsKnowledge of both Azure and Snowflake cloud database platforms and migration strategiesDemonstrated ability to work with slowly changing dimensions and temporal data structuresExperience building and optimizing databases in complex, enterprise-scale environmentsStrong problem-solving skills for database remediation and structure improvement initiativesAlteryx experience is a significant plus for data transformation workflowsPay Range: $65-70/hr
