As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Certified in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by following site-specific procedures access protocols and security-related policies at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents alarms disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate with campus contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings walkways parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances verify identification and/or credentials when required and document security-related incidents observations and daily activities in accordance with post orders.
• Support emergency response activities assist with de-escalation during tense interactions and provide visible presence during scheduled events high-traffic periods and after-hours operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• A handcuffing certification is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
