Role Description The Caregiver CNA role is a part-time, on-site position based in Indianapolis, IN, providing hands-on support to clients in their homes or residential settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility, while promoting safety and comfort. The Caregiver CNA offers companionship through conversation, engagement in activities, and emotional support, and may provide dementia care support following individualized care plans. Additional duties include light housekeeping, meal preparation, and supporting clients with errands or appointments as needed. The role also involves accurate documentation of care provided, monitoring changes in clients’ condition, and communicating effectively with families, supervisors, and other care team members. Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Indiana and knowledge of basic caregiving practices. Experience assisting with personal care, mobility support, and non-medical in-home care for older adults or individuals with disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and provide respectful, person-centered care. Reliability in following care plans, documenting services accurately, and reporting changes in client condition to supervisors. Ability to handle light housekeeping, meal preparation, and basic home safety tasks as part of daily care. Demonstrated compassion, patience, and professionalism when supporting clients with dementia or cognitive challenges. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client locations in and around Indianapolis, IN. Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
