Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• AS completion required.

Requirements:

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Fairfield Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials:

• CCI or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer accepted; registry eligible considered.
• On-the-job training accepted with an Associate’s degree in Allied Health.
• Must pass position competencies, including rhythm recognition.
• Education: Associate or Bachelors of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution for cardiac ultrasound or on the job training with associates’ degree in Allied Health.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• One to two years of echocardiography technician experience preferred, including 2-D echo with M-Mode, spectral and color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography.

Preferred Credentials:

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography preferred.

Unit Details:

• Performs and assists with cardiovascular procedures ordered by physicians to support diagnosis, including other non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Role also includes EKGs, event monitor applications, cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, lower extremity Doppler studies, and stress testing.
• Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday schedule; Wednesday off.
• No holiday coverage required.
• No Call Requirement

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certifications RCS, RVT, S
