Duties

At the GS-12 you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the full performance level (GS-13), you will perform the following:

1. Develop security policies and procedures to ensure Information System (IS) reliability and accessibility to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
2. Develop master contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures for all Information Systems.
3. Support the Command Information Officer (CIO) in managing the Echelon II duties for Department of the Navy Safety Management and Reporting IT portfolio.
4. Review and recommend purchase of all IT assets.
5. Support development and maintenance of the Certification and Accreditation packages for Naval Safety Command Programs of Record.
6. Manage Information Assurance Vulnerability reporting and Scan reporting for Naval Safety Command Programs of Records and customer assets.
