Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity Labor and Delivery nursing care in a high-volume unit averaging 500–600 deliveries per month across 31 beds
• Circulate in the OR during deliveries and perform scrub/circulator duties as required
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing continuous newborn care including eyes, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments until transfer to postpartum
• Administer and monitor high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and document care using EPIC
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units, and potentially to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby care, as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted
• Minimum of 3–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, high-volume environment; high-risk experience required
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the OR
• Proficiency in newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K (thigh) injections, and newborn assessments
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
• Experience caring for midwifery clients, high-risk OB patients, and patients in substance recovery programs
