Here’s what you’ll need to join our team: Education:Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Licensure:Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas. Certification:ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Language Proficiency:Bilingual skills required. Your Role: As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges and thrive in their educational settings. Here’s how you’ll contribute: Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to identify students’ needs for specialized therapy services. Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents and district personnel, ensuring clear and compassionate communication. Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the ARD committee to create targeted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education. Provide Therapy: Deliver therapy services directly or supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in implementing IEP goals. Monitor Progress:Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed. Support Team: Participate in ARD meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to advocate for and support students’ special education programs.
