Our law firm is an exclusive, boutique law firm focusing on high-income earners, high-asset, and high-profile cases. We are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating divorce settlement agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, child custody matters, and child support.

The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child support, child custody, and divorce, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Compensation:

$90,000 - $130,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
• Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
• Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
• Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients

Qualifications:

• Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
• Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
