Performs preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance on all homes/facilities/offices, and related equipment to ensure safe and sanitary operations in compliance with safety codes and OSHA regulations.Job Duties Include:Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.Performs light plumbing on toilets, sinks, shower/tubs, and other as neededPerforms preventative maintenance as neededChecks building at beginning and end of shiftsMakes carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.Assists in pest control as required.Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms.May complete purchase order ensuring receipt is obtained.Basic Requirements:Ability to perform tasks on the computer including working with Microsoft 360, Excel, Word and other basic programs.Valid driver’s license, auto insurance coverage and reliable transportationPass criminal background check and other regulatory checksProvide proof of your educationEducation and Experience Required:High School Diploma or equivalent.Must have a valid driver’s license.Must have working knowledge of repair procedures for walls, flooring, windows, doors, and installation of hardware.Must have a working knowledge of painting, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical repairs and maintenance, minor commercial HVAC repairs and knowledge of HVAC components.Working knowledge of TPO roof maintenance, refrigeration, auto mechanics, yard work techniques, and related tools.Must have experience in securing contractors for outsourcing and have knowledge of pricing for purchase order requests.A Caring Alternative, LLC is a CARF accredited service provider with facilities in Asheville, Hickory, Marion, Statesville and Morganton, NC.
