Position Summary

The Medical Staff Services Coordinator for Deaconess and Valley Hospitals is responsible for leading the regional medical staff functions including the maintenance of medical staff files, ensuring compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e. JCAHO, NCQA, CMS, and WA State) in regard to credentialing while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statutes and laws. The incumbent ensures that all expirables are reviewed, obtained and managed on a monthly basis according to the rules and policies; and works closely with the Coordinator and staff of the INW CVO office in coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process. Additional responsibilities include managing the flow of information between the MSO team, Medical Staff Leadership (including the Service and Committee chairpersons) and Administration, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing and clinical privileging database system while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Works under the supervision of the Medical Staff Services Program Director to support medical staff activities and special projects for all physicians and health care affiliates within MultiCare Health System INW hospitals and MultiCare Rockwood Clinic, under the authority of the Chiefs of Staffs of the Medical Staffs and the CMO of Deaconess and Valley Hospitals. Work situations are varied and involve highly confidential information and require a professional demeanor, organizational skills, independence and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree or four years relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered
• Three (3) years experience in a lead capacity
• Five (5) years experience in Medical Staff Services or Credentialing

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $56,908.80 - $81,910.40 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
