Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Engineer IV – Denver, Colorado The position involves routine and in‑depth inspections of bridges and other transportation structures. It may also include bridge design, load rating work, and related tasks in accordance with state, regional, and municipal standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and conduct field inspections of bridges and other transportation structures following NBIS and other relevant regulations. Supervise and mentor bridge inspection team members, ensuring quality and safety in all inspection activities. Evaluate structural integrity and document deficiencies, deterioration, and maintenance needs through detailed reports, sketches, and photographs. Utilize inspection tools, software, and drones (as applicable) to perform comprehensive structure assessments. Prepare inspection reports, load ratings, and rehabilitation recommendations in accordance with industry standards. Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure project timelines and expectations are met. Maintain compliance with safety protocols and best practices for working at heights, in confined spaces, and near active roadways. Assist in the development of bridge maintenance and rehabilitation strategies for clients. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS and at least 6 years of experience or equivalent education and experience. Valid DMV license. Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of experience with bridge inspection and/or bridge design. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Experience with AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) and Bridge Management systems. FHWA‑NHI‑130055 Safety Inspection of In‑Service Bridges Certification. FHWA‑NHI‑130078 Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges Certification. FHWA‑NHI‑130110 Tunnel Safety Inspection Certification.
