Your Role as a CDL-A Delivery Driver: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer and submit a DOT inspection report detailing the vehicle's condition. Safely connect your assigned tractor to a loaded trailer and deliver from our Sidney, OH warehouse to an affiliated location, assisting with loading and sorting of pre-palletized products during priority appointments. Typically manage two routes per week, with an average route duration of 28 hours. Team operations mean approximately 50% of your time will be spent in the berth. No ramp unloading tasks involved. All necessary equipment is provided, and tractors are well-maintained, typically less than three years old. Verify the accuracy of the bill of lading and store keys during off-hour deliveries. Drive the tractor-trailer to the destination, utilizing your knowledge of commercial driving regulations and vehicle maneuvering skills. Maintain a driver log (either Manual or Peoplenet) in compliance with DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions. Unload the trailer and deliver products into customer premises. Perform other assigned duties as needed. Qualifications for a CDL-A Teammate: Must be at least 21 years old. Possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A). Have a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience. Meet our organization’s MVR and risk rating qualifications. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions and safety protocols.
