At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation:Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled.Assisting the community with financial wellness: This could involve financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.Compensation Transparency:We believe in fair and equitable pay for all employees. Please note that starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.About This Role & Pod Expectations:This role is part of a pod (a group of nearby branches) within BECU’s East District. Additional details provided if moved forward in the hiring process.Pod Branches: Factoria, Issaquah, Mercer Island, NewcastleLocation support based on business needsRotation Required: You’ll work across all POD branches for up to your first year or more - this is a core expectation of the roleOne-Year Commitment: All Retail new hires are expected to remain in this role, POD, and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECUTraining: Training will include travel to the Tukwila Financial CenterTravel Required: The ability to commute between branches & training location is requiredFlexibility Required: Schedules are typically given 30 days in advance but you may be asked to adapt to varying schedules and branch assignments based on business needsTraining Schedule:12 weeks, Monday–FridayFlexible shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PMPost-Training Schedule:Flexible shifts between Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PMUp to 3 Saturdays per month: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PMQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experienceMinimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environmentDesired Qualifications:One year of experience in a financial institutionSpanish language fluency highly desirableThorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficientlyStrong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs; with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneouslyAbility to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hireComprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutionsKnowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered.Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with MembersProblem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skillsAbility to work flexible shiftsJOIN THE JOURNEYReady to make an indelible impact?
