Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring an Electrical Superintendent in Dekalb, IL for a direct hire opportunity with our client. Job Type: Direct Placement Pay: $130,000 to $150,000 Per Year BOE Responsibilities Participate and assist in the development and implementation of project plans and schedules. Develops and maintains 5-week lookahead schedules of upcoming project work. Develop and monitor Quality Control Programs, project scheduling, interviewing/hiring, OTDR, design documents, and construction scheduling, Blue Beam, Union rules, collective bargaining agreements. Responsible for ensuring installations comply with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS, and other relevant standards and specifications. Coordinate and conduct formal performance evaluations for field workforce personnel making recommendations for and setting developmental goals. Take ownership of and drive the Safety Program and ensure that all Standards of safety are met and maintained. Assist and participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Quality Control Programs. Qualifications 3-5 yrs’ experience managing electrical projects as a Site Superintendent from $10MM+. Strong understanding of structured cabling / low-voltage environments (data center/Hyperscale). Familiarity with fiber conveyance, pathways, and connectivity work. Deep understanding of data center design (floor layout, cable tray, and rack usage), connectivity, and structured cabling systems. Full retrofit of client’s fiber and copper network infrastructure. Scheduling & Coordination – Comfortable leading and communicating 5-week lookaheads. Able to coordinate labor, materials, and install sequencing within an active data center construction environment. Strong safety mindset with experience operating in safety-first construction environments. This individual will oversee a large team structure including Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and Techs. Expected leadership scope of roughly 100+ personnel on site. Roughly 60+ techs onsite at the moment including union representation. MUST have OSHA 30 (or obtain within 6 months). Physical Requirements Must be aware of OSHA safety standards. May be exposed to heights and loud noises. May need to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending. May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Pay Transparency The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 Per Year, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location.
