The position is a "work-from-home" role, but 5-10% travel may be required for storm support and occasional visits to the office as needed.***This position requires the selected candidate to work through a temp agency for 6 months before potential conversion to a direct Leidos employee.***The successful GIS Tech candidate will support some or all of the following activities:Use GIS/CAD software to support electric distribution projects and data maintenance for higher complexity and priority projects.Reference as-builts, work management logs, & other documentation to update GIS data to reflect electric distribution construction completed in the fieldIdentify data inconsistencies and communicate with the appropriate resources to provide accurate data updates to client systemsObtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipality levelAbility to work in an Agile team environment where collaboration and receptiveness to feedback are essential to producing high quality work to meet Leidos & clients' standards.GIS Tech Basic Qualifications:Requires 30 credit hours completed in GIS-related program at an accredited university, OR a bachelor's of science degree plus enrollment in a GIS certification program, OR high school diploma plus 2 years of applicable work experience in a GIS-related field.Knowledge of Client Standards preferred.Excellent verbal and written communications skillsWillingness to perform both field and office work.
