Site Solar Technician

Job Overview *This role will be on our Fort Stockton Project Site.* Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a full-time Site Solar Technician II. This position requires overnight travel on a frequent basis depending on company needs. The Site Solar Technician must have the ability to work safely at high quality with electrical & mechanical components, issues and concerns. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Perform a full range of diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and oversight of issues that may arise at a solar farm across the US Ability to diagnose a full range of solar service issues Provide outstanding customer experience. The Solar Technician will be customer facing and must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times Ability to travel using own vehicle or in company owned vehicle Participate in staff meetings and assist with broader company initiatives Provide daily reports Effectively use hand and power tools Effectively use a laptop and a variety of programs/applications Learn and understand basic low voltage electrical systems Operate machinery/equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, backhoes, compressors, and generators Troubleshoot technical issues Clean, maintain, and inventory company owned tools/equipment Act professionally in remote areas, on active construction sites, or in the office Think creatively and encourage open-mindedness Continually drive self-improvement and motivate excellence in coworkers Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Basic Qualifications Minimum 2+ years working in the renewable energy industry or relevant experience from another industry Great safety track record Knowledge of all major solar and energy storage products Training on top tier inverters a plus Must be highly organized and punctual Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background check and physical Must have the ability to work though issues and troubleshoot safely Accommodate frequent travel Work as a member of a small team, as well as independently in the field Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: standing, stooping, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
