Position Summary :
The Sheetmetal and Insulation Tradesman II is a developmental role designed for individuals seeking to gain
practical experience and technical skills in HVAC. As a Tradesman, you will work under the supervision of
experienced field professionals to learn the technical aspects of the job, including equipment operation, tool
and material identification, and safety protocols.
Essential Functions :

• Safety Toolbox Talks, JSAs, MSDS Sheets.
• Responsible for the safety of their crew.
• Read submittals, communicate with project managers, GC, follow schedules.
• Know the scope of work.
• Perform layout.
• Use manpower properly.
• Keep material in front of crews.
• Track hours.
• Navigate a laptop.
• Release buy-out products.
• Walk job daily.
• Attend meetings.
• Production and Quality Control.
• Provide any training needed.
• Hand take-offs for Fabrication Shop.
• Hole penetration in walls, floor, and roof.
• Flow chart.
• Daily reports.
• Four-week look ahead.

Education/Experience Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience/education in HVAC, Construction or other technical field preferred.

Physical Requirements :

• This position requires the performance of moderate to heavy physical work: Tradesman may be required to lift up to 100lbs occasionally, up to 50lbs frequently, up to 20lbs constantly, and perform activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping for up to five (5) hours without sitting.
• The position may also involve some repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and elbows.

Working Conditions :

• This position is normally performed in a jobsite work environment which does subject the employee to the elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection may be required under certain conditions.
• This position may require a flexible schedule, periodic overtime, and overnight travel as needed.
