TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) is seeking a seasoned Lead Architect to drive the design, delivery, and scaling of next-generation Data & AI platforms for healthcare clients. This role is pivotal in establishing TGS as the partner of choice for organizations pursuing enterprise data strategy, data lakehouse modernization, and AI-led transformation, with deep emphasis on large-scale data engineering, advanced analytics, and regulated-industry compliance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on executive architect who blends deep technical depth with organizational leadership, working seamlessly across delivery, pre-sales, and practice-building motions. Ability to architect mission-critical data platforms, build advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities, lead large distributed engineering organizations, and shape a cross-cloud, cross-domain practice spanning Azure, AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks engagements.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise-grade Data & AI platforms leveraging a medallion-layer Data Lakehouse and multi-tenancy design patterns to support Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence at scale.

• Define and execute enterprise Data Strategy across multiple disciplines — Data Engineering, Data Governance & Quality, Data Modeling, and Data Operations.

• Lead architecture and platform standards for large-scale Big Data environments, including high-volume distributed processing infrastructure supporting trillions of rows of monthly throughput.

• Drive adoption of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning capabilities within the enterprise data platform, including MLOps and AI platform strategy.

• Architect AI/ML solutions including NLP and predictive modeling for clinical, operational, and revenue-cycle use cases.

• Establish data governance, security, and compliance frameworks for Healthcare clients ensuring adherence to HIPAA, SOC2, and CMS regulatory mandates, including HL7/FHIR-based interoperability.

• Lead end-to-end architecture for mission-critical data platforms — covering ingestion, processing, governance, consumption, streaming, and AI/ML serving layers.

• Drive migration strategies from legacy and on-premises platforms to modern cloud-native Data Lakehouse and self-service analytics architectures.

• Lead organizational transformation initiatives — including delivery model redesign to drive measurable cost optimization and operational savings.

• Partner directly with sales and account leadership to formulate and execute go-to-market strategy, shaping proposals, RFPs, and executive-level solutioning for multi-million-dollar engagements.

• Lead architectural and strategic discussions with client executives, CxOs, and enterprise architects to build confidence and ensure customer success on new builds and platform migrations.

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge across Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks practices.

• Mentor architects and engineering leaders; contribute reference architectures, accelerators, and reusable IP to the practice.

Minimal Qualifications

• 20+ years of progressive experience in Data Architecture, Engineering, and Operations leadership on mission-critical, enterprise-scale platforms.

• Proven track record building and leading Data Lakehouse platforms using medallion architecture and multi-tenancy design for AI, Advanced Analytics, and Deep Learning workloads.

• Proven expertise in healthcare data domains, including HIPAA/SOC2 compliance, HL7/FHIR interoperability standards, claims, utilization management, and population health analytics.

• Deep hands-on expertise with Big Data / Hadoop ecosystems at scale.

• Demonstrated experience defining and executing enterprise AI strategy, including MLOps, LLMs, Agentic AI, and predictive modeling for production use cases.

• Strong experience with real-time streaming analytics architectures delivering end-to-end data availability within seconds.

• Demonstrated leadership of large-scale organizational transformation, including delivery-model redesign and on-shore/off-shore delivery optimization.

• Strong executive communication and facilitation skills; comfortable presenting to CxOs and leading client and stakeholder workshops.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; Master's degree or Engineering strongly preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $225000.00/yr.

We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
