NICU RN Registered Nurse

Job Summary As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you are directly responsible for monitoring vitals, administering medications and nutrients, and providing care to newborns. Responsibilities Work in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team to provide necessary medical care to newborn infants. Provide round‑clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants. Have working knowledge of the complex NICU equipment used to treat at‑risk newborns. Perform life‑sustaining care. Ensure that infants are breathing and maturing properly. Communicate with and educate parents on day‑to‑day operations and home‑care procedures. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher (graduated from an accredited school of Nursing). Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi‑State RN license. A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (obtain within 30 days of employment start/transfer date). Previous NICU RN experience strongly preferred. If no previous NICU RN experience, at least 1 year hospital RN experience required. Shift Details This is a Full Time, Night Shift position. Shifts are 12 hours in length (approximately 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Rotating holidays and weekends required.
