Electronics TechnicianLocation: Patterson, NYSchedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMPay Rate: $24.00/hourAbout the OpportunityWe are seeking an Electronics Technician to join a growing team supporting the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced RF and electronic components used in aerospace, military, and defense radar systems.This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with electronics troubleshooting experience who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a career supporting cutting-edge defense technologies. You'll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams while gaining exposure to highly specialized RF products and testing equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesElectronics Testing & TroubleshootingPerform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on printed circuit boards (PCBs), couplers, and RF assemblies.Diagnose and repair analog and digital circuits at the component level.Identify root causes of failures and implement effective repairs.Verify product performance through testing and inspection activities.Assembly & Manufacturing SupportAssemble, test, and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical devices.Follow engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.Support production builds while maintaining quality and performance standards.Ensure products meet customer and military specifications.Test Equipment OperationUtilize electronic test equipment including: OscilloscopesMultimetersVoltmetersNetwork AnalyzersSignal AnalyzersOther diagnostic and RF testing equipmentPerform electrical testing and validation of completed assemblies.Document test results and troubleshooting activities.Technical DocumentationRead and interpret: SchematicsWiring diagramsEngineering drawingsCAD drawingsMaintain accurate records of repairs, testing activities, and quality documentation.Follow standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions.Required QualificationsEducationTechnical Trade School Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related fieldORAssociate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related disciplineExperience1+ year of manufacturing experience.1+ year of experience performing component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic assemblies.Experience testing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.Technical SkillsStrong electronics and electrical troubleshooting skills.Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.Understanding of analog and digital circuits.Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Preferred QualificationsAssociate Degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology.Experience working with RF or microwave components.Familiarity with: RF CouplersRF CombinersPower DividersNetwork AnalyzersAerospace or defense industry experience.Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Why Join This Opportunity?Work on advanced products used in military and defense radar systems.Gain hands-on experience with RF and microwave technologies.Join a growing company with a strong project backlog and forecasted growth through 2026 and beyond.Exposure to both engineering and manufacturing operations.Clean, organized shop floor and electronics bench environment.Long-term contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for career growth.Work EnvironmentManufacturing facility located in Patterson, NY.Approximately 45 employees on-site.Collaborative team environment with direct interaction between technicians and engineers.Standard schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.Work includes a combination of bench testing, troubleshooting, assembly, and shop floor support.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Patterson, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
