Respiratory Therapist- Night Shift

Overview Join Our Team at Riverside Regional Medical Center! Located in Newport News, VA, we are a 450‑bed level II trauma facility with a level III NICU and multiple ICUs. As a respiratory therapist at RRMC, you’ll receive 8–12weeks of comprehensive orientation and training in our respiratory‑driven protocols. Post‑training, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our clinical ladder supports your professional development, including obtaining your Advanced Airway Management certification. We understand the importance of work/life balance, offering open self‑scheduling and every third weekend rotation. We’re currently offering a $20,000 signing bonus for a two‑year contract, paid in increments. Relocation allowances are available for qualifying candidates. What You Will Do Assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate treatments and procedures that contribute to the Respiratory Care Plan. Complete all documentation and ensure all orders are current, completed, or discontinued. Participate in and assist meetings, projects and in‑services related to improvement of RHS Respiratory Care Services. Utilize proper infection control techniques in performance of duties and in accordance with departmental procedures. Work with physicians and nurses to create treatment plans and evaluate progress of the treatment. Qualifications Education Associate’s Degree, Respiratory Therapy or Related Field (Required) or Bachelor’s Degree, Respiratory Therapy or Related Field (Preferred) Experience 1year Respiratory Therapist experience (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) – The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) RCP License with the Virginia Department of Health Professions Upon Hire (Required) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Upon Hire (Required) CPR/BLS Certification – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required) ACLS Provider – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 1Year (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at #J-18808-Ljbffr
