Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
As our first mobile app developer, you'll take the lead in implementing the first iteration of Echofi. You'll be responsible for making the user experience of Echofi magical, everything from sleek interfaces to reliable and consistent APIs.
Beyond prior mobile and front-end development experience, we're looking for someone who is creative and has a perfectionist mindset towards UI/UX. You're the type that will meticulously refine layouts while also enjoying solving technical challenges below the surface. We pride ourselves on team members with a strong sense of ownership and continual delivery.
The Role
Minimum Experience
- 2+ years working with a mobile development framework, including Flutter, Android, iOS, React Native, or Xamarin
- Solid understanding of how to integrate REST APIs with models and views
- Familiar with best practices regarding testing, security, and reliability
Preferred Experience
- Practical experience building and deploying apps in Flutter
- Basic understanding of platform channels, iOS, and Android APIs
- Full-stack and systems development in a general purpose programming language
- Good taste in UI/UX design
What You'll Do
- Take a leading role in building and maintaining our iOS and Android app
- Provide feedback to our design team to provide a great user interface and ensure accessibility
- Shape our technical culture and the future of the team
- Learn new things, work hard, and grow as an engineer
- We are a meritocracy. We acknowledge everyone on the team is diverse and has different perspectives. What matters most to us is how you grow, take ownership in your work, and the end product you create.
- We don't tolerate dishonesty or politics from any team member. You'll find a team that communicates openly and values efficiency above all else.
- At Echofi, you'll work with some of the most brilliant minds of our generation, people that will inspire you from first conversation and will motivate you to succeed long term.
- Making an impact: from day 1 you'll contribute to creating the first version of Echofi users see
- Getting competitive salaries, benefits, and stock options
- Joining a family: our team is super tight knit - our frequent lunch excursions, offsites, office furniture, and slack banter speak for themselves
