Registered Nurse - Emergency Room | Travel | Chicago, IL Assignment Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care for an opportunity in a high-acuity, urban Level I Trauma setting. The ideal candidate has experience in a Level I Trauma ED, preferably within a teaching hospital. Responsibilities include managing diverse patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2116.8 (negotiable)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating Required: Yes
• Charting System: Epic
• Number of Visits Per Day: 120
• Number of Rooms: 34
• Local Candidate Policy: Yes

Responsibilities

• Provide care and management in a Level I Trauma Center
• Administer emergency medications and manage acute conditions
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, and manage IVs
• Care for ventilated patients and manage critical emergencies
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Radiology and Social Services

Qualifications

Required:

• IL RN License
• 1 year of experience in an urban Level I Trauma ED
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Experience with Epic charting system

Preferred:

• Teaching Hospital experience
• Certifications: TNCC, CPI
