Overview Associate, or Professor of Pediatric Cardiology position in the University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC), Department of Pediatrics, Lexington, KY. This is a faculty role with full-time, non-tenure track status. Responsibilities Hold or be eligible for a Kentucky physician license and be board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology. Serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and co-lead the Kentucky site of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program. Participate on the Program Steering Committee for the Partnership. Collaborate on clinical research projects and care reports. Engage in professional development activities and participate in regional, state, and national meetings. Contribute to program development and healthcare leadership within the division. Qualifications MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Minimum residency training of three years in Pediatrics and three years in Pediatric Cardiology. Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky. Eligible for certification, or certified by, the American Board of Pediatrics and the sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology. Institutional Information The Kentucky Children’s Hospital provides Level I pediatric trauma care and Level IV NICU; it houses more than 30 advanced sub-specialty programs including pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery. Collaboration with Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute combines UK HealthCare’s pediatric and congenital heart care with Cincinnati Children’s experts in pediatric cardiac care and surgery.
