Rehabilitation Technician - Schaumburg

Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for: Patient care, support, and guidance Execute plans of care under the guidance of PT/OT providers. Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment. Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs). Use educational techniques, including demonstration and cueing, to ensure patient understanding of exercises. Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity. Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider. Clinic flow Monitor patient arrivals to the department. Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment. Order supplies to keep the clinic stocked, under direction from the Manager. Front‑end tasks Perform necessary front‑end tasks, including check‑in, co‑pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments. Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits. Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed). Qualifications CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care). High school diploma. Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations. Understanding of principles, contraindications, and precautions in the use of therapy modalities. Ability to identify proper patient set‑up on each piece of equipment and adjust as needed. Ability to identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning. Team‑oriented. Attention to detail and follow‑through. Problem solving, lateral thinking and reasoning skills. Communication skills. Compensation The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.10–$22.70 per hour. The actual pay is determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
