Job Summary:
The Madison, Wisconsin-based MRI Technologist position is a nighttime role at a leading healthcare facility known for its Magnet designation and ranking as Wisconsin's top hospital. The role involves performing detailed magnetic resonance imaging examinations across a wide variety of procedures and patient populations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 8 and 12-hour shifts: Friday 8-hour shift, 11 PM 7 AM; Saturday and Sunday 12-hour shifts, 7 PM 7 AM; Monday 8-hour shift, 11 PM 7 AM; minimum 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology, American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, two (2) years of clinical MRI experience, and at least trauma Level I experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level II experience.
- Additional Information: The role involves performing complex and specialized MRI examinations including MRA, MRV, and other advanced procedures. The technologist must work independently with diverse patient age groups and locations, maintain equipment and participate in quality assurance, and potentially instruct other healthcare professionals and students. Clinical research participation may be required. Certification in ARMRIT or ARRT MR is mandatory; fluoroscopy and contrast media experience are beneficial.
- Experience: Two (2) years of clinical MRI experience required.
- Certifications: ARMRIT MRI or ARRT MRI certification, BLS.
- Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792.
- Additional notes: Requires strict pass/fail testing with a telemetry exam prior to start, with two attempts allowed. Pass mark must be at least 80%; failures require an additional certification submission or may lead to cancellation of the assignment. Must be able to work independently and confidently across various clinical scenarios.
