Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Arlington, Virginia. Serving the local community for over eight decades, this practice is known for delivering exceptional veterinary care grounded in compassion, communication, and client education.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital operates Monday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The practice is closed on Sundays. Weekend coverage includes a Saturday rotation, with a schedule designed to promote work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role is open to experienced veterinarians. Clinical responsibilities include wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and end-of-life care. The position also involves building strong client relationships through effective communication and education, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Practice Details
The hospital features a large, open treatment floor, digital radiography, in-house ultrasound, a fully equipped dental suite, and a spacious surgery suite. Services range from preventive care and wellness diagnostics to advanced diagnostics, in-house lab work, dental procedures, and soft tissue surgery. The practice maintains a strong reputation in the community and emphasizes patient comfort and individualized care.

Team
The team consists of five DVMs supported by a dedicated and experienced group of support staff. The culture is collaborative and focused on mentorship, professional development, and delivering high-quality, personalized care in a supportive and engaging environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
