Job Details Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment On-Site: Yes Location: Asheville, North Carolina 28801 Start Date: September 7, 2026 End Date: December 7, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 10-hour nights Schedule: Variable schedule with call required Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000-$2,100 Documentation System: Cerner Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required Demonstrated skill level 3 or higher in joint, neuro, orthopedics, and vascular procedures Broad surgical knowledge across general surgery, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma Experience working in a high-acuity surgical setting with strong perioperative clinical skills Ability to adapt to a variable schedule and support call coverage Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills Comfortable working with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the operating room Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures and specialty service lines Prepare the OR for cases, support surgeons and surgical teams, and maintain a smooth workflow Monitor patient status, uphold sterile technique, and respond appropriately to changing intraoperative needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to help deliver excellent patient outcomes Float to other departments as needed based on unit needs Promote efficiency, patient safety, and quality care throughout the perioperative process Why Apply?
