As a Dishwasher, you are essential to ensuring the kitchen and restaurant operate efficiently and meet high cleanliness standards.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas. This role supports the kitchen team by ensuring all tools and materials are clean, organized, and ready for use in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

This is a non-exempt position that works closely with back-of-house and front-of-house team members.

As a Dishwasher, you will:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas
• Ensure all sanitation and food safety standards are consistently met
• Assist with cleaning tasks throughout the restaurant, including floors and service areas
• Remove trash and recycling and maintain cleanliness in waste areas
• Support kitchen team by maintaining a steady flow of clean dishes and supplies
• Assist with basic prep or kitchen tasks as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Adapt to varying responsibilities during shifts based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

Pay Range: $13.00 per hour – $15.00 per hour

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Stand for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Bend, reach, stoop, and move frequently
• Perform repetitive motions, including lifting and washing dishes
• Work in a fast-paced, wet, and high-temperature kitchen environment

Work Environment

This role operates in a kitchen environment with exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, heat, and fast-paced operations. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
