Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.ResponsibilitiesPromote trust and respect among associatesCreate an environment that allows customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the storeCommunicate effectively both written and verbally, with customers and store personnelPossess knowledge of the pharmaceutical products and supplies kept in the department to be competent making recommendations to patients and prescribersReceive verbal RX orders and accurately reduce to writing in adherence with State and Federal laws and regulationsInterpret, fill/refill, label and bag prescription orders completely and accuratelyEvaluate appropriateness of RX orders with consideration to patient safety, and legal requirementsProvide drug counseling with customers and prescribersBe familiar with and third party billing and procedures, facilitate charge for customerMaintain accurate records—including insurance—properly receive RX information from customer, properly and accurately deliver RX to customer, assist with over-the-counter medication recommendationsMake phone calls to prescribers and prescribers' office staffDemonstrate ability to accurately and efficiently utilize RX computer systemMaintain accurate inventory, reconciliation and research of controlled substances in compliance with the record keeping of the controlled substance accountActively promote proper immunizations to patients and provide them safely and effectively.Engage in all clinical activities for which they have received appropriate trainingDelegate monitoring and ordering supplies; properly stock incoming ordersCompare and check incoming ordersAssist with supervision and delegation of responsibilities to associatesFile prescription orders and records in accordance with state and federal regulations and proceduresHelp resolve conflicts and problems with customers and personnel in the absence of department managerRun, review and interpret reportsOversee administrative needs in the department in the absence of the department managerNotify management of customer or employee accidentsReport all pharmacy incidents or miss-fills to store management and Sedgwick within the proper timeframes as presented in the Corporate Accuracy PolicyReport all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraudAbility to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbsMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationQualificationsMinimumPossess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought, with no stipulations or Board ordered restrictionsGraduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency examSuccessfully passed the NAPLEX examAbility to work at various locationsAbility to travel independentlyDesiredStaff pharmacist
