Cardiac Surgical ICU Registered Nurse (CVICU) – Rotating Shifts

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 Hours per Week | Day/Night Rotating Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting
• Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac surgical patients, including hemodynamic assessment and intervention
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, vasoactive drips, and other critical care therapies as ordered
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Surgical ICU (CVICU) experience
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and ventricular assist devices (VAD)
• Familiarity with Epic or other major electronic health record systems
