Registered Nurse ER (Adult)

Scheduling Details

• Shift Hours: 7a-7p / 7p-7a
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• Call Off Policy: The facility may cancel up to three shifts during the contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Charting

• Experience Required: EPIC charting experience is required.
• Special Scheduling Requests: Requests must be submitted upon application.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active License: Must have an active New York Single State RN license (New York is not a Compact state).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (please include valid NIHSS in submission).

Clinical Skills Required

• IV therapy (including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and initiating/maintaining IVs).
• Administering IV vasopressors.
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management.
• Management of CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Emergency care experience (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma).
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage protocols.

Unit Details

• Patient Ratios: 1:5; including adults and geriatrics with various emergency diagnoses.
• Special Equipment: Familiarity with Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment is preferred.
• Floating: Will be required to float within skill set.
