CT Technologist - Austell, Georgia

Seeking an experienced Imaging - CT professional for a contract opportunity available after 5/30/26. This role requires flexibility and a strong commitment to delivering safe, age-appropriate care while performing comprehensive CT studies in accordance with departmental procedures and best practices.


Schedule:

• Night shift: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Hours: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am

Key Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Radiology (CT experience preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to discuss and explain procedures clearly to patients, families, and staff
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in CT imaging procedures, patient positioning, exposure, radiation protection, and contrast media administration

Primary Responsibilities:

• Verify clinician orders and patient identification with two unique identifiers
• Obtain clinical histories and assess for contraindicating conditions
• Perform and review CT studies, ensuring quality diagnostic images and patient safety
• Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and complete daily quality control tasks
• Practice radiation safety and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams, and provide pre- and post-procedural care
• Assist in emergency situations, keep monitoring equipment ready, and participate in departmental education and training
• Maintain organizational workflow for scheduling, documentation, and patient care activities
